Canadian whiskey is a style of whisky made in Canada, often characterized by being lighter and smoother than other types of whisky. Most are blended multi-grain spirits, with a significant portion made from corn. Historically, Canadian distillers began incorporating small amounts of rye grain into their mash, creating a distinct rye-flavored whisky that became popular. Over time, this led to the term “rye” being used interchangeably with "Canadian whisky." Even today, under Canadian law, both terms refer to the same product.

Irish whiskey is a smooth, often triple-distilled spirit made in Ireland, known for its lighter taste compared to other types of whiskey. It’s made from a mix of malted and unmalted barley, aged for at least three years in wooden casks. The result is a range of flavors, from rich and bold to light and floral. The name "whiskey" comes from the Irish words uisce beatha, meaning "water of life." It’s a versatile drink, enjoyed on its own or in cocktails like Irish coffee.

Scotch whiskey is a type of malt or grain whisky produced in Scotland. Originally, all Scotch whisky was made exclusively from malted barley. However, in the late 18th century, commercial distilleries began using wheat and rye to make whisky. By 2022, Scotland had 141 whisky distilleries in operation.

They created it as a type of "water of life," using distilled grapes and grains to craft what we now know as gin

It's primarily made from water and ethanol, with some varieties containing subtle impurities or added flavorings for extra character. rum
Rum is a liquor made from fermenting and distilling sugarcane molasses or sugarcane juice. The resulting clear liquid is typically aged in oak barrels to develop its flavor. Rum is produced in almost every region that grows sugarcane, including the Philippines, where Tanduay is the world’s largest rum producer.
brandy
Brandy is a liquor distilled from wine, with an alcohol content typically ranging from 35–60% by volume. It's often sipped as an after-dinner digestif. Many brandies are aged in wooden casks, which enhances their flavor, giving them a smooth, rich character that's appreciated by many.
tequila
Tequila is a distilled spirit made from the blue agave plant, primarily produced around the town of Tequila and the Jaliscan Highlands in Mexico. Known for its earthy, slightly sweet flavor with herbal notes, it’s a key part of Mexican culture. Authentic tequila must come from specific regions in Mexico and is enjoyed both neat and in cocktails like margaritas
